How to claim for cycle repairs

Damage to your bike and kit, including helmet and clothing can be included in the ‘losses’ that Cycle SOS will recover on your behalf. Recovery of losses in relation to damaged bike and kit are ancillary to an injury claim and are not recoverable as a standalone claim.

As part of our initial fact-finding we will encourage you to gather receipts for any items that have been damaged in the accident and to keep a log of anything else you remember along the way. These details may be a little hazy in the early days following an accident so keeping notes can really help. We’ll then submit these ‘losses’ as part of your claim for compensation.
